Mr Massey has been informed that the Blackball Coal Company has agreed to accept Henderson’s apology for the words Used to Deputy Anderson and to reinstate Henderson in his former position. The tribunal set up by the Government expressed the opinion that it would be unwise to legislate for dealing with the dismissal

of workmen from mines. Mine owners and union officials recognised the neod of covering this question in an industrial agreement.
