AMERICAN SCHOONER OVERDUE.
WELLINGTON, February 26. The Awamii Station has received a wireless message from Suva stating that the four-masted American schooner Alumna, bound from Melbourne to Nukualofa, is 59 days out. Masters of vessels crossing the Pacifio have been requested to keep a sharp look-out for the overdue schooner. AUCKLAND, February 27. The lighthouse-keeper at Maria van Dieman reports that a four-masted schooner passed from west to east at 1 p.m. yesterday. The opinion m expressed in shinping circles that she ts probably the Alumna.
