NORTH OTAGO RACES. (From Our Own Reporter.) First Day—Thursday, February 17. The North Otago Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was commenced to-day in fine weather and with a large attendance, including many visitors from north and south. Good fields contested most of the events, and there was some interesting sport. The totalisator investments were £16,903, compared with £16,201 10s on the corresponding day of last year. Following are the details of the racing: AUTUMN HURDLE HANDICAP, of loOsovs; second 30sovs and third ISsovs. One mile and three-quarters.—Messrs Ruthven and White’s b g Barrister, by Blackstone —Estella, aged, 11.5 (A.
