ADVENTUROUS YOUTHS.
AUCKLAND, February 15. Two youths, the eldest aged 22 years, had their adventure cut short by the interposition of the police. They proposed to proceed to the Kermadecs in the yaoh.4 Mizpah, which the elder boy claimed to have purchased. They had by the aid of a cheque book obtained a large quantity of stores and provision which were sen* to the wharf and placed in the care of tt watchman, whom they paid 5s an hour, A detective relieved the watchman of Ida duty. At present the youths stand charged with issuing a cheque by means of which benzine and oil were obtained.
