SOUTHLAND DEPOSITS. INVERCARGILL, January 17. Professor Park, of the Otago University, some time ago made investigations regarding the deposits in Southland suitable for the manufacture of cemeufe To-night the professor met a number of business men and representatives of 100 a: beds 1 -, to whom he outlined some of the results of his research work. He stated that all the essential deposits were to he found in the Western District, excepting bituminous coal, indications of which were, however, to be found.
