WAIKATO GOAL MINES.

AUCKLAND, January 12. Tile Taupiri and Kotowaro coal mines are working steadily but have not since the holidays been fully manned, this being due to some of the miners having extended their holidays. The Taupiri Company, however, expects to have a full complement of men by the beginning of next week. Since work was resumed the miners have been drifting back to the mines, and the output of coal has been showing a steady daily increase. The mines are being kept fully supplied with coal trucks, and,' should thus bo maintained, coal merchants and industries dependent upon the Waikato coalmines for supplies should be able to accumulate stocks in the near future.
