More than usual interest in local politics was tabu in the event, there being candidates for seven seats, and the polling was fairly heavy. Messrs Stewart, Allison, Miller, Michelle, and Bruce were members of the retiring board, Mr Stewart having been chairman.

Any rams sold will, if required by the purchaser, he kept by the vendor at tho vendor’s risk, and placed free of charge on trucks Wallacetown at any time up till 7th April of this year.
