A fine swimming performance was put up by a 13-year-old boy, Alfred John Cleverley, son of Constable Cleverley, at the Te Aro Baths, Wellington, the young swimmer covering two miles in lhr 25min. The time wns checked by the assistant caretaker. The boy was a member of the Mount Cook School team which won the Duthie Oun iclay race this season.
