The value of the produce from the Weraroa Boys’ Training Farm for the year recently ended was over £7OOO. The vital statistics for 1920 show the following figures:— Births, 2517 (an increase of 429 over 1919); deaths, 1124 (a decrease of six); marriage notices, 1444 (an increase _ (, f 260) ; marriages by registrar, 381 (an increase of 40). The Customs revenue collected at Christchurch during December. 1920, totalled £J2O 749. compared with £53,947 for December, 1919. The total for the year is £1.248,664, compared with £701,651 for 1919. The vital statistics for the Christchurch metropolitan area for 1920 show substantial increases in births, marriages, and deaths as compared with the figures for 1919. Ino increase in births was 761. there were 277 more marriages, and the number of deaths was 359 in excess of those in 1919.
