THE WAR MEMORIAL.
ANOTHER INDECISIVE MEETING. Another public meeting was held in the Town Hall on Thursday night to discuss the erection of a war memorial in Dunedin. The Mayor (Mr W. Begg) presided and an attendance of 33 persons (including (three ladies) constituted the meeting After discussion it was resolved: — "That with a view to raising the necessary funds to provide a suitable war memorial to the memory of our soldiers, a committee be appointed to arrange for a monster meeting of citizens to be held, on a date to be fixed, to launch the scheme, the question of the site and the nature of the memorial to be held over until after the public meeting has been held."
