THE LATE REV. W. W. BROWN

INVERCADGILL, August 25. The remains of the late Rev. W.- W. Brown were interred in the Eastern Cemetery. Representatives were present from all the congregations to which he had ministered. The cortege moved off from First Church, where a large congregation assembled. The Rev. Messrs D. Calder, J. Kilpatrick. Collie, M'Cully. Gibson Smith, and M'Master took part in the church service. The Rev. Messrs Calder. M'Donald. Kilpatrick, Robinson, and Ryburn took part in the service at the cemetery. The funeral was Very largely attended The Rev. Mr M'Cully delivered a short address in the church, speaking of the deceased' as one of tho best of friends and the most beloved of ministers. Suitable hymns were sung, and the "Dead March" -was played.
