CO-OPERATIVE MOVEMENT.
(By Cable.) SYDNEY, April 7. An Inler-State Congress of Consumers and Co-operative Societies is sitting with the object of organising and developing the co-operative system throughout the commonwealth with a view to cutting cut, excessive unregulated competition and waste
in production and distribution, and thus secure the highest standard of efficiency. By co-operative purchase and disposal they will thus secure profit-sharing between master and workman, and cut out any attempt to exploit the publio. The conference decided to form a Cooperative Union, embracing theiwhole of the commonwealth, and proceed with propaganda work. A committee was appointed to draw up a constitution. ;
