LONDON, November 27. The producer trade is hopeful that the control of N butter and cheese may bo removed in the early spring. It is understood that the Government recently paid about. 330 s per. cwt, f.0.b., for Danish butter, delivery till February. In the House of Commons Mr. Austen Chamberlain stated, that the Treasury had refused to purchase 2000 tons of Dutch butter because the price asked was 335 s per cwt, f.o.b. . _ Wheat and Flour: The market is quiet and unchanged. A fair quantity of Australian flour has been allocated. Oats: The market is weak. La Plata, on spot, 52s 6d and 535. Beans and peas : The market is quiet and steady. Sugar 'is unchanged. The rates of exchange in London are: On Paris, 39.27 francs; Stockholm, 17.93kr; Chfistiania, 18.56kr; Calcutta, 26|d; Montreal, 4dol 23£c; New York, 4dol 3c. - . NEW YOR.K, December 3. The exchange rate was as low as 3 dollars cents, but recovered to 3 dollars 95 cents. The sterling rate of exchange has fallen to 3dei 88 cents. December 5. The rate of exchnnge for the pound sterling has fallen to 3 dollars 86$ cents (exactly one dollar below the, mint par value). AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. MELBOURNE, December 5.. LONDON, November 27. «= A meeting of the shareholders of the Bank, of Australasia resolved to increase its capital by isuing an additional 25,000 £4O shares and capitalising the reserves and distributing them as a capital bonus.
