MAIN TRUNK TRAIN DERAILED. AUCKLAND, December 4. A goods train, derailed -at Raurima, delayed the north-bound express about five hours. The south bound train was delayed about two hours from the same cause. The derailed train, which left Taumarunui at 8.45 last night for Ohakume. jumped the rails on going into the Raurimu station, where it crosses the express. The rolling stock is uninjured, but the roading woa considerably damaged.
Thore is very little straw in the oat cropa in the Wairarapa this season owing to w» stunted growth brought about by th© dry, weather.
