The Timaru Woollen Mills have boon sold by Messrs Lilico and M'Rae to an Auckland firm, Mackie, Logan, and Caldwell (Ltd.), who take the business over from Decembei' 1. and "who form the new company, of which Messrs Lilico and M'Rae are the local directors. - Their sons will manage the business. The mills were started in 1885, but successive owners failed to work the concern successfully, until 27 years ago when the present owners, and others from Dunedin. took over and made a success of the business. They have during that period enlarged the buildings considerably, and have installed up-to-date Biachinery
