HOLY CROSS CHURCH.
The roll of honour in the parish of St. Kilda was unveiled by the vicar (the Rev. A. Wingfield) at the 11 o'clock service on Sunday morning:. The tablet is of brass, mounted on oak, and on it are engraved the names of the Following members of the church, who fell in the great war: —S. E. Donne, W. Donovan, J. A. Ferguson, F. A. Fothergill, J. C. Fothergill, L. J. Harris, W. E. Holmes, E. E. Islip. R. V. G. Parker, W. O. Parker, C. F. Sharpe, E. A. Stoneham, S. R. Strong, S. Thomson, M. Tyson, and A. E. Wyatt and also the names of 46 others who left New Zealand for the front. Thero was a very large congregation, among them being a "number of military men. After the first part of the morning prayers, the vicar, accompanied by the Rev. Vincent B. King, proceeded to the tablet and read the service appropriate for such a function.
