COUNTY COUNCIL CHAIRMEN.
ANNUAL ELECTIONS. (Feom Oor Own Correspondent.) • LAWRENCE, November 26.
At the annual meeting of the Tuapeka County Council, held yesterday. Cr John Bennetts was elected chairman for the ensuing 12 months. Cr R. G. Cotton was also nominated. The voting was:—Bennets 5, Cotton 3. John M'Knight, of Ophir, was .elected chairman of th. 3 Vincent County Council.
ROKITTKA, November 26. Mr -Thomas W. Bruce has been elected chairman of the Westland County Council. *
Mr T. L. Hart was on Tuesday reelected chairman of the Waimate County Council. Cr O'Cbnnell has been elected chairman of the Waftnmo County Council.
