At a meeting of the Otaki Peace Memorial Committee it was reported that three members of the Bright family had offered _ £250 each towards a suitable memorial. _lt was agreed to canvass the town and district, and, if possible, to secure sufficient money to raise £SOOO or £6OOO for a building, which would include library, reading room, social hall, billiard room, etc.
