The position in regard to houses suitable for letting purposes is acute in Nelson. A gentleman who arrived from the south v recently with his wife and two children to take up his residence there was not only unable to procure a house, but had difficulty in obtaining board and residence for himself and family. At several places he applied to his request was refused because lie had two children.
