Zhe ©tago Witness. Notice to Our Readers It has become increasingly difficult to "ensure delivery of the Otago Witness to many subscribers ofE the main lines of railway within a reasonable time after publication of the paper, and the publishers have felt also that both with respect to the West Coast and the North Island the present day of publication could be altered with advantage to readers of the paper. It has not been an easy matter to decide as to the most suitable day in the week for the issue of the paper, but after a good deal of consideration FRIDAY has been chosen. This will ensure the publication of practically all the cable and other news of the week, and will result in readers in most parts of the Dominion receiving their papers for perusal in the leisure time available at the end of the week; while in most parts of Otago and Southland and in South Canterbury the paper will be delivered or procurable from selling agents on Friday. During the railway restriction® at present in force, delays in delivery are to some extent inevitable in certain districts, but these are, it is hoped, but temporary disabilities. The alteration in the day of publication will take place next week, and agents are therefore notified that, instead of receiving their supplies in the earlier part of the week, they will come to hand by the earliest transport that can be secured on or after the day of publication.
