TRAMWAY FARES RAISED.
MINIMUM OF TWOPENCE IN WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, August 8. Consequent upon the increased wage* reoently granted and the cost of material, the finances of the City Tramways for some time have been in an unsatisfactory condition, and the City Council, beinfc faced last night with a deficit, decided tc institute a new scale of fares. The principal change Is a twopenny minimum fare.
