BANKRUPTCY CASE.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 29. In the Supreme Court in Bankruptcy application for immediate discharge in ths case of Edmund Peter Gill was opposed by counsel appearing for a Kaikoura creditor. Counsel said the bankrupt had posed as a sharebroker. His debts were £llBO and his assets -nil. This was the second bankruptcy of the petitioner. Mr Justice Herdman said the circumstances were suspicious. An adjournment would be made till the next sittings in August, the Official Assignee to make further investigation and supply his Honor with a supplementary report of such investigation.
