A NEW DEPARTURE. The directors of the Nokomai Hycrraulio Sluicing Company have adopted a echem* of sharing profit with their employees. For each Is dividend paid to shareholders th« company's employees will be given a bonuj of 5 per cent, on the total Wages earned by each of them during the six month* immediately preceding the declaration of such dividend. . Owing to the impossibility of getting sufficient workmen to fully operate tho company's plant its earnings during the past few years have fallen off, though since its inception in 1898 shareholders have received dividends averaging 12b per cent.' per annum. Ground which the company has every reason to believe' will be profitable and sufficient to keep its plant occupied fo» from 10 to 12 years, still remains un» worked in the claims at present held, and plenty more ground commanded by ltd water is available. _ The company has splendid water right* and an up-to-aate plant, and, with suffi> cient labour to operate it, is satisfied thaf it will again soon, .under the profit-sharing 6cheme, become a good proposition fot both shareholders and employees.
