SALE OF ABERDEEN ANGUS BULLS AND COWS.

Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. (Ltd 1 .), in conjunction with Mesrs A. J. Cooper asd Co. (Ltd.), report having held their first annual sale of Aberdeen Angus cattle in Messrs A. J. Cooper and C'o.'s yards in Colombo road, Masterton, on May 22. There was a fairly large attendance of the public, buyers being present from all parts of the "Wa'irarapa district, while Wellington, Upper Hutt, Woodville, and Taihape were represented. The bulls came_ forward in very good condition, considering, the bad season, and any bulls showing good quality and condition were eagerly sought after. Fifty bulls and 11 cows ( and heifers_ were disposed of at auction at prices considered fairly, good. The following are the price* and numbers sold: — On account of Mr F. B. Lowes (Eketahuna) —two 18-month Aberdeen Angus stud bulls at 50gs and 40gs; on account of Mr James Cooper (Hinakura) —one stud bull, two years, 55gs; on account of Mr Edward Cresswell (Ngaionui)—one 18-month stud bull, 44gs; on account of Mr H. T, Hume (Aohanga)—one and a-half-year herd bulls at 57gs, 54g3, 30srs. two at 29gs, 28gs, two at 27gs, nine at 25sys and one at 20ga (average for 18 bulls, £3O 13? 6d) : on account of Messrs Elliott and Falloon (Masterton)— one and a-half-year hord bulls at 40gs, 28gs, 27gs 26gs, three at 20g», 19RS,, 17«. 16m?.. 15gs, and lOgs (average for 12 bulls £22 111 6d): on account of Mr Edward Cresswell (Ncaionutt— one and a-half-year herd bulls at Sl«. 50&8; } 5 5 s ' and two at 12gs (areraw for eight bulls, £22 6s 6d); on account of Mr E.
