SOLDIERS IN EGYPT.
CHBISTTCHUROH, May 28. Sir James Allen stated to-day that about 2000 New Zealand soldiers were in Egrypfc Of these, 1000 were expected home in Jus? and the other 1000 in July. The Midste* said this was not' definite, because th* transhipment of troops depended on ta# shipping available, and because furVlfflf trouble in Egypt might cause the soldier* to be v detained.
