A THEATRE DISASTER.
SERIOUS LOSS OF LIFE. (By Cable.) PARIS, June 2. While Joan of Arc celebrations weirs being held at Valence several thousand people, mostly -women and children, at* tended a kinema show. A film igniteav and a panic followed. Sixty persons weri killed and oyer 100 injured. Most of th# injuries sustained by the victims wc*t through being trampled on.
As a result of official supervision of the Visoharge of foodstuffs at docks in the United kingdom during three months of last year' >vex 1000 tons of poultry feed was salved
from ships by sweeping out the holds, etc Steps were taken to improve methods of discharge in order to avoid such losses in the future.
