OTACO HUNT CLUB. A successful meet of the Otago Hunt was held at Wingatui on Saturday afternoon. A number of horses wishing to qualify for the hunters' events to be run at the steeplechase meeting on Juno 14* were followers, and a good run was made over the schooling course, in which the horses jumped exceptionally well. Immediately afterwards the stewards of the Hunt _ Club inspected the course, and it was decided to hold all tho steeplechase events on the Steeplechase course proper, with a slight alteration .in the hunting events, in which brush fences will be substituted for two or three of tn~© jumps. An adjournment was then made to the D.J.O. stewards' room, where Mr P. Miller (president of the Jockey • Club) wished the Hunt Club every success for its totalisator meeting. The toast of "The Hunt Club" was drunk-with musical honours. Mr B. S. Irwin (president of the Hunt) suitably responded.
