the quarter ended March 31 last amounted to £5,865,478, and the total of the withdrawals was £4,829,473, an excess of deposits over withdrawals of £1,036,005. In the first quarter of last year the deposits were £4,434,730, and the withdrawals £3,349,322, an excess of deposits of £1,085,408.
