A deputation from Ohakune waited on the Hon. W. D. S. MacDonald at Waitomo Caves, and stressed the scenic claims of Ruapohu for the favourable consideration of a State grant. The Minister received tho deputation favourably, and promised to place on the Estimates a grant of £2s' for the formation of a track up to the mountain house on Ruapehu. He also promised to supply two largo tents for next tourist season. ',
