INCITING A STRIKE. WELLINGTON. May 9. William Kraig (editor of the Maoriland Worker) and John GJover (publisher) wore charged in the Magistrate’s Court to-day with inciting a seditious strike. The charge arose out of a letter published in the

Maoriland Worker urging every worker in the meat trade to refuse to take part in producing and distributing meat until New Zealand’s wants were supplied at reasonable rates, or as an alternative to go slow. Pleas of guilty were entered. The charge was described by the Crown as a serious one. Kraig was fined £SO and Glover £lO.
