GENERAL RICHARDSON'S TRIBUTE. WELLINGTON, May 9. General Richardson says ho would like to place on record through tho press his high appreciation of the excellent work done by tne Salvation Army for the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. " The Salvation Army," he said, " raited large sums of money for the soldiers, and tho money was iudiciously Bpent in til? int.erests_ of the men. The Salvation Army organisation, through, the medium of Major Green and the various chaplains, assisted me to a very great extent." ■ General Richardson mentions tha valuo of such institutions as the hostel in London, the hut at Etaples, and other buildings controlled by tb-j army. General Richardson concludes: "I am deeply indebted to all chaplains and to the Salvation Army, who worked" ?o hard in the interest of tho soldiers and tneir relatives."
