Linger Mm 'asks:—"(l) A mortgages his land to the Advances to Settlers Office, and keeps up his payments for four years and. gets behind for the last two years owing to sickness. Can the Advances to Settlers Office sell the property now that A has recovered his health and is able to pay up arrears in three months? (2) Does the Mortgages Extension Act apply to mortgages to Advances to Settlers Office?" Answers: (1) If the department obtains the leave of a Supreme' Court judge, the property can be sold. (2) Yes. F. A. asks:—"ls a person legally justified in using firearms if assaulted?" Answer: No. Secretary.—The whole matter is governed by the by-laws and regulations of the company. Fairplay.—lf you are certain that the quality of the chaff was prime, you shotild acquaint your solicitor with all the facts of the case and instruct him to take the necessary action on your behalf. Pro Bono Publico. —The chairman has a deliberative vote as well as a casting vote. Roadless. —Before any railway can be constructed the Governor-in-Council must consent to the construction.
