STEADILY DIMINISHING NUMBERS. WELLINGTON, April 29. A return received by the Minister of Defence regarding the demobilisation of tho New Zealand Division states that on April 9 the number of men evacuated from tho United Kingdom since the signing of the armistice was 24,823. There were still 281 men in France, 19,155 in the United Kingdom, and 2012 in hospitals in the United Kingdom.
