There has been substantial reductions in a fair number of lines, remarks tho Mercantile Gazette, but there is not by any. means the general reduction that many expected. Metal goods show some fairly heavy reductions. Corrugated iron is down to about £65 or £7O, and is quoted to arrive soon at about £lO lees. Fenoing wire shows a further drop of about £6, and nails are also receding. Bar and plate iron shows no change thirf month, but lead, tin, and zino have a slighter easier tendency. Picks and axej are 63 to 10s lower,- but iff-handled shovels are dearer.
