Bar to D.S.O.—For action with enemy submarines: Lieiitenant-commander Wybrants Olphert, D. 5.0., D.F.C. Croix de Guerre (French). —Vice-admiral Sir W. C. Pakenham.

The following recently received their decorations at Buokingham Palace:— C.B.E. —Commodore F. Dreyer, R.N., now of Admiral Jellicoe's staff.

D.S.O. and Bar.—Colonel Hugh Stewart (Christchurch), N.Z. Infantry. D.S.O. —Engineer-commander Ernest Low, R.N.R. (Nelson), Major R. Wilson, R.G.A (Bulls). M.C—Captains Herbert Campbell and Loftus Gibbs, N.Z. Infantry; Captain Aleo Manson, N.Z.M.G.C; Lieutenants Paul Ashby and Charles Ciochetto, N.Z.M.G.C. ; Lieutenant W. Fowler, N.Z. Infantry. Major Charles Fraser Knight, 133rd Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C. (one time of the N.Z.M.C.), and then of the Canadian A.M.C.), has received the D. 5.0., and so has Captain Patrick Augustine Ardagh, M.C., N.Z.M.C., attached Ist Battalion Auckland Regiment. Major Thomas F. Corkhill, M.C., R.A.M.C, attached 139th Field Ambulance (son of Mr T. E. Corkill, Bank of NewZealand, New Plymouth), has been awarded a bar to his decoration, and another New Zealand doctor similarly honoured is Major William C. Hartgill, M.C,. R.A.M.C, 55th

Field Ambulance (Dannevirke). Major Hartgill is on his way to New Zealand on duty in a transport. Members of the N.Z.E.F. lately awarded a bar to the M.C. arc:— Lieutenant Angus W. Gordon, Ist Battalion Auckland Regiment, and Captain Wynne Peyton Gray, Ist Battalion Auckland Regiment.

Recent recipients of the Military Cross are:—Lieutenant Anthony W. F. C. Birch. 3rd Battalion, Rifle Brigade (eldest son of Mr W.
