WATERSIDE WORKERS' DISPUTE.
AUCKLAND April 23. A stop-work meeting of the waterside workers was held this morning to consider the union delegates' report concerning the recent conference with the employers regarding the revision of rates of wages and working conditions It is understood that the employers have offered an increase of 2d per hour. Arrangements were made for holding a secret ballot to determine whether the employees' offer should be accepted. WELLINGTON, April 26. A stop-work meeting of the Waterside Workers' Union was held to-day to consider the report of the delegates who met representatives of the employers in conference. It was decided to take a secret ballot on the question of the acceptance of the employers' offer. CHRISTCriURCH, April 24. The, Lyttelton 'waterside workers decided to take a seoret ballot on the question of the aooeptance of the employers' offer. The Dunedin Waterside Workers' Union held a stop-wr \ meeting on the 22nd to consider the delegates' report on the recent conference with the employers regarding the revision of the rates of wages and working conditions. The meeting decided to take a secret ballot on the question of the acceptance or otherwise of the employers' offer.
