(By Cable.) LONDON, April 25. The Government Meat Committee will consult Mr Hughes and Mr Massey regarding the best means of increasing Australasian imports. Sir T. B. Robinson (Queensland's agentGeneral) points out that the war-time losses of refrigerated tonnage have been practically replaced. He expects the Continental demand to increase largely in tlhe immediate future at prices substantially above pre-war rates. On the other hand some leading meat firms are inclined to pessimism, and believe that prices will debar the French and other impoverished Continental nations from largely increasing their consumption. * April 26. A meeting of London butchers protested against the insufficient allocation of South African and Brazilian beef for the metropolis while the authorities are sending Australian and New Zealand meat to the Germanic Powers. It is officially denied that Australian and New Zealand lamb ywas'isent to Germany*
