ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.

(By Cable.) LONDON, April 25. The projected Antarctic expedition under the leadership of Mr Cope -will consist of 68 men. These will divide into three parties. Twenty-two will remain in a new harbour and the second and third parties on Scott Island, which is within the Antarctic circle, and on Ross Island, forming the gateway to Ross Sea. After landing these parties the Terra Nova will return to Wellington and load provisions sufficient for four years. She will leave Wellington in the summer of 1921, and visit the three parties. After that the Terra Nova will circumnavigate the Southern Continent, attempting to reach Cape (name not mentioned), and in the winter of 1922 will proceed along the known coast lines. In the following summer the ship will attempt to visit the coast-land, where she may be compelled to winter instead of the South Shetlands, not attempting to cross the Weddel Sea. Constant wireless communication will be maintained with the Falkland Islands.
