FIRE AT WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, April 25. A fire broke out to-night in a two-storeyed briok building in Lower Taranaki street, used by T. A. Wells as a. paint store. The building was completely gutted, and the 6tock of paints, wall papers, ete., which waa valued at £IO,OOO, was totally destroyed. The insurances on the stock were: Guardian Insurance Company, £3000; Phoenix Company, £2000; South British Company, £IBOO. The building, which was held on lease fronj the estate of the late Mr William Fox, wa* insured for ££oo.
