Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under ; TO-DAY (WEDNESDAY), APRIL 23. For Australian States, Egypt, India, South Africa, Japan, China, Straits Settlements, and the East, per s.s. Moeraki, from Wellington at midni,ght. Late fees at the Railway Station on April 24 at 7.55 a.m. For Samoa, per s.s. Moeraki, at midnight. Late fees at the Railway Station on April 24 at 7.55 a.m. THURSDAY, APRIL 24. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per s.s. Athenic, from Wellington, at midnight. Late fees at Railway Station on April 25, at 7.55 a.m. Correspondence must be specially addressed per Athenic. From. April 14 to May 3 mails will bo despatched daily by the Relief Express Train, leaving Dunedin for Christohurch at 11.15 a.m. North Island mails will connect with the ferry steamer at Lyttelton on Tuesday, Thursday," and Saturday. The mails will close at the Chief Post Office at 10.15 a.m.; late fees at 10.30 a.m. _No late-fee letters can be posted at the Railway Station for the Relief Express. From April 14 to April 23 inclusive daily mails will bo despatched to Greymouth, Hokitika, Westport, and Reef ton. Theodoee King, Chief Postmaster.
