ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY.

SIX PRISONERS OF WAR AT LARGE. WELLINGTON, April 16. The Commissioner of-Police lias received information that six prisoners of war escaped from the Feathorston internment camp this morning. The names of the escapees are:— Charles Hadler, a, sailor on the Star of India when he was arrested for internment. Martin Kock, a fireman on the Ulimaroa. Alfred Kraut, arrested from the sailing ship Pampa. J. J. Slijn, arrested in Auckland. William Otteng, alias Brauncr, arrested in Wellington. Walter Moovmeister, arrested at Waihi. Information about how the men escaped was not available to-night. April 21. J. J. Slijn. one of the Germans who escaped from the internment camp at Foatherston, was recaptured at Martinborough.
