At the Palmerstcm North 3?olico Court i middle-aged man named Robert Edward Brassell was charged with stealing £9O from tho person of Isaac Piensoh, a. blacksmith, who said he arrived in Palmerston North with £IOO in his possession. Ho met accused in the Central Hotel, and cashed a £SO nolo and put tho change in big pocket with another £SO note. ' After leaving accused ho found that his money had gone, and gave the information to the police. Brassell, who pleaded not guilty, was committed for trial.
