A farmer near Levin was much puzzled by recurrent outbreaks of a violent skM irritation among the members of his household Tho trouble has now been traced to a climbing plant that he was carefully cultivating, under the delusion that it waa a Virginia creeper. The plant has now be«n identified as the Calif ornian poison vine (Rhus toxicodendron). Oontant with the leaves produces a form of irritation sometimes lika eczema and sometimes lik« orySipelas.
