FAILING TO PARADE. OHIUSTCHURCH, April 19. The sentence imposed upon Charles Tames Rudd by a district court-martial in Christchurch this week has been confirmed. Rudd who wa.3 formerly an insurance canvasser in Christchurcb, pleaded guilty to a charge of disobeying the lawful command of his superior officer in failing to parade at King Edward Barracks on November 19, 1917, to proceed to camp with a draft of 01 men. He was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment with hard labour.
