GAFFANEY.—On April 22, 1019, at Dunedin, Lance-corporal James Eaton Gafianoy (No. 9/475, Main Body), beloved second son of Francis Douionio Gaffaney, of Ciittcn street, South Dunedin, and brother of Joseph, Vincent, and Francis Gaffaney (on active service); aged 3S years. E.I.P.—To be interred with military honours at Northern Cemetery.—Hugh Gourley, Military Funeral Director. HAYES.—On March 81, 1919, at No. 3 New Zealand General Hospital, Codford, England (of pneumonia), Daniel Hayes, dearly beloved fourth son of Mrs A. Hayes, Outram; aged 23 years. Deeply mourned. 8.1. P. WHITING.—On April 16, 1919, at his parents' residence, Seacliff, Second Lieutenant Norman Alexander Whiting, 7/274a (N.Z.E.F, Reinforcements, Main Body), and dearly beloved youngest eon of B. J. and Catherine Whiting, of Seacliff; aged 25 years. Deeply mourned. WHITING.—On April 16, 1919, at his parents' residence, Seacliff, Private Norman Alexander Whiting, 7/274a (N.Z.E.F., Main Body), dearly beloved youngest eon of K. J. and Catherine Whiting, of The Lodge, Seacliff; aged 25 years. Deeply mourned.
