RIOTS IN INDIA.
■■■■■■■ - ——<*?&- ■■' ' (By Cable.) LONDON", April 7. Extensive riots are reported to have taken place at Delhi at the end of March. were some casualties. In the House of Commons, Mr Fisher, in announcing that six had been killed and 16 wounded in the Delhi riots, said no trouble had occurred elsewhere in India. CALCUTTA, April 8. The rioters at Delhi ejected passengers from the tramcars and carriages, and attacked the railway station. Ti'oops fired on the mob, killing six and wounding 16. DELHI, April 9. Some rioting occurred iast night, originating in an attempt to force the railway stallkeepers to observe a passive resistance to the law against sedition. The police and military were called out, and iired on the mob, causing a few casualties. The discontent of Bombay grain dealers resulted in rioting. Two thousand dealers, armed with bamboos, attacked the office of the Food Controller, and assaulted the Parsee assistant. There were no arrests.
