VICTORIA LEAGUE.

The ’’annual meeting - of the Otago branch of the Victoria League "was held on the 11th inst. Mr 0. G. White presided. The annual report stated that members of the executive continued to act on the committee of the jOtago and Southland Woraenls league had assisted in street collections, and also took charge of the Red Cross shop , with very satisfactory results. The lantern slides sent froip London were used in support of. a lecture, and £l3 10s 9d was sent Home in aid of the fund for giyv ing lectures to soldiers in hospital. Six copies of the Otago Witness had been sent ■weeklv to the New Zealand War Contingent Association. • v The election of officers resulted as follows: Patrons for New Zealand, the’ Earl and Countess of Liverpool; president, Mrs Sim; vice-presidents —Mrs Theomin, Mrs Reynolds, and Miss Burt; treasurer, Mrs Fergus; secretary, Miss Jackson; executive —Mesdames Sargood, Cohen, and J. W. Smith, and Misses Stewart Begg, Ross, Burton, Williams, and J. Cooke; council— Mesdames Bowler and' C. C. Graham, and Messrs G. M. Thomson, P. R- Sargood, W. T. Monkman, D. Reid, and C. Q. • White; hon. auditor, Mr W. T. Monkman; hon. solicitor, Mr C. G. White. _ It was stated, for the information ot those concerned, that the addresses of the treasurer and secretary were as follows; Treasurer, Royal terrace, Dunedin; secretary, P.O. Box 42, Dunedin.
