WHEAT AND OATS.
THE THRASHING RETURNS. Returns of actual thrashings received by the Department of Agriculture from thrashing mill owners up to March 19 show that 542,058 bushels of wheat arid 531,113 bushels of, oats have been sacked. The average yields per acre in cases where particulars of area are furnished work out at 34.22 bushels for -wheat and 36.59 bushels for oats. The following table shows, by land districts, the quantities thrashed' and the yield per aero in each case. Wheat.
