THE M'CARTHY ESTATE.

DISTRIBUTION OF PROFITS. WELLINGTON, April 3. Since the first distribution of profits from the estate of the late Mr JL\ G. Macarthy, la 1913, the sum of £34-,757 has been distributed among charitable and educational institutions. At the annual meeting of the board to-day it was stated that the profit mado during 1918 was in excess of former years, but the amount available for distribution was slightly less owing to war taxation. The sum of £5112 was allocated among applying institutions.
