CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 5. The Arbitration Court awarded £SOO -'damages and £23 for funeral expenses in the case of the Public Trustee, administrator in the estate of Charles Begg, against the Christehurch City Council. Mr Begg was killed in a street motor cycle accident while on his way to make a voluntary vjsit of inspection to the city electrical testing-house, of which he was in charge. The question at issue in the case was whether the accident arose out of bis employment.
